Learn about OSHE
I.B.E.W. Local 42 Occupational, Safety, Health and Education Trust Fund (O.S.H.E.) was established on June 13, 2001
for the exclusive benefit of the employees of contributing employers. The department's purpose is to provide an occupational
safety program to instruct employees in safe working procedures and job-related occupational safety and health standards
and to prevent job-related accidents and injuries.
The O.S.H.E. Department also offers a work education and training program to educate, train and retain employees to
assure proficiency in job performance, to upgrade the skills of workers, to assure competence in the operation and
maintenance of equipment and to provide instruction and practical experience under supervision for employees; which
training, education, instruction and work experience is not otherwise provided under another program for employees
in the outside electrical industry.
NECA'S PARTNERSHIP with IBEW Ensuring fair wages and benefits, as well as a unified skill set and training, for electrical
workers serves the best interests of the industry and NECA customers. NECA's national office, chapters, and member
contractors have long practiced constructive and responsible labor relations in concert with the International Brotherhood
of Electrical Workers (IBEW), the world's oldest and largest union of electrical workers. Peaceful settlement of grievances
and jurisdictional disputes are implemented at NECA's national and local levels through cooperative forums.
